Q:
What exactly is Naturism ?
A: Naturism is a term used to describe going without clothes,
often for sunbathing and swimming. The International Naturist
Federation defines it as: '..a way of life in harmony with nature,
characterized by the practice of communal nudity, with the intention
of encouraging respect for oneself, respect for others and for
the environment.'

Q: Is Nude Recreation Legal?
A: Yes, it is perfectly legal in areas designated as nudist resorts,
nudist clubs, nudist parks, clothing optional areas, and of course
nude beaches.
Q: What is the History of Naturism?
A: Naturism is not new in our society. The philosophy is thousands
of years old. In ancient cultures as diverse as the Japanese,
Roman, Hawaiian, and Greek, non-sexual social nudism was common.
And in this century, families around the world have embraced naturism
as a healthy way of living and recreating.
Q: Do men get aroused or get erections
?
A: The Erection Question, Erections are very uncommon because
any man that is at the park is there only for the enjoyment of
the sun and fellowship. When your mind isn't preoccupied with
sex, involuntary erections are very rare indeed.
Q: Is there a difference between a naturist
and a nudist?
A: Both terms refer to persons who believe in the inherent dignity
of the human form, whether or not it is covered with clothing,
and who reject the notion that all nudity is sexual. "Naturism"
is the term more commonly used outside the U.S. to describe family-friendly
clothes-free recreation at appropriate times and places; "nudism"
is an American term and usually refers to nude recreation that
occurs within the confines of private clubs organized for that
purpose.
Q: Is it common for people to stare...
A: No. Nudists do not have a need, or the desire, to stare at
others. Basically we are all the same and there is nothing to
stare at.
Q: Is there any way I can find out if
I want to go nude without actually going to a nudist park or beach?
A: Sure, there are lots of ways. Try walking around your home
nude, sleeping in the nude, doing your housework in the nude.
Even watch TV while you are nude. Millions of people do just those
things on a daily basis. Once you feel comfortable then it is
time to try it around other people.
Q:
Are Naturists exhibitionists
A: Naturists are not exhibitionists. They do not wish to offend
those who fear nakedness, and that is why you do not see us roaming
the streets but prefer such areas that are well-marked so people
who may be offended can easily avoid them.
Q: Are nudist parks only for single people?
A: On the contrary. You will find single people, married people,
couples, and many children at nudist parks. They come from all
walks of life, all ethnic origins, all religions, and from all
occupations.
Q: Isn't it wrong to have kids see you
nude?
A: Why would it be wrong? If it is simple nudity without sexual
connotations, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. In fact
it has been proven that children who are nudists have many less
hang-ups about sexuality, and growing up, than those who lead
a "sheltered" life.
